2. The High Alkalinity of BARLEYMAX. 

Our body cells cannot adequately function if the pH range (which measures the balance of acidity and alkalinity) is not in a narrow range. Studies of our body's pH balance have shown that when our body's pH is more acidic we are more susceptible to diseases. Allergists find most people with severe allergies have acidic systems. Most processed foods are acidic, and when we consume too many of them the acid/alkaline balance is upset. To obtain a balanced pH it would require a diet of 70-80% raw fruits and vegetables. The primary difference being the nucleus of haemoglobin is iron and the nucleus of chlorophyll is magnesium. Chlorophyll rids the body of dead cells, reduces or eliminates bad breath, and among many others can cause old age spots to disappear.

By weight, it is more than 40 per cent protein which according to Dr. Hagiwara, is 90 per cent usable! To give you a source comparison, a hamburger is about 20-22 per cent protein and this protein is not a good source of protein for humans because it is cooked and it has the added disadvantage of being 40 per cent or more fat, with cholesterol-building properties in addition. Vegetable proteins are well utilized by the body and have the added advantage of having no fat or cholesterol to the diet. 7. A Rich Storehouse of Live Enzymes. 

Green barley leaves contain a multitude of the body's spark plugs---enzymes. Enzymes supply the spark that starts the essential chemical reactions our bodies need to live. Without this spark and these chemical reactions, we would be helpless---a bag of bones, unable to walk, talk, blink, or breathe. Studies have found that a cell has an asthmatic barrier and it is impossible for a vitamin to pass through unless it is piggybacked on a live enzyme. We are all born with a storehouse of live enzymes. We use up more of these enzymes than what we take in so the storehouse eventually runs low. 

One enzyme in particular that has been studied a lot is super oxide dismutase (SOD). The aging process has been directly linked to decreasing amounts of SOD in our system. Increased amounts of SOD causes our body to repair itself quicker. SOD acts as an anti-inflammatory enzyme and cancer preventive enzyme. BARLEYMAX is rich in SOD - one of the richest sources available today. 

Another enzyme is P401, isolated in a laboratory in California in the 1980's in Barley juice. P4D1 has been found to have anti-peptic ulcer and anti-inflammatory function--but with no side effects as with ordinary anti-inflammatory drugs. P4D1 also produces remarkable stimulation to DNA repair, including DNA in the reproductive cells. 

Recent studies at the University of California -Davis and George Washington have isolated a very powerful antioxidant enzyme (2-0-GIV) Glycosylisovitexin that is found only in barley leaves. It appears to outperform Vitamin E and BHT, two successful agents used to fight cancer. 

8. Created by the Master Chemist. 

BARLEYMAX has nutrients we haven't even discovered yet. As an example we know there are over 1000 live enzymes in BARLEYMAX, yet we've only been able to isolate 20-30 of them in a laboratory.
